From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

Tintin in Tibet is a video game based on the storyline of the same title from the series The Adventures of Tintin, the comics series by Belgian cartoonist Hergé. It was one of a series of two games released, the other being Prisoners of the Sun. It was released for the Super NES, Game Boy, Game Gear and the Mega Drive by the late 1995, followed by a version for PC (MS-DOS and Windows 95) in 1996 and Game Boy Color in 2001.
Tintin in Tibet follows on the heel of Infogrames Asterix & Obelix, with the same gameplay. Although the game will prove easy for the expert gamer, there are many levels to pass, each of which features new locations, enemies, and obstacles that serve to advance the storyline.

This version of Tintin in Tibet was designed for the Game Boy console, which was an 8-bit handheld video game console manufactured by Nintendo in the years 1989 - 2003. It was the first ever handheld video game console with exchangeable game cartridges, but it only supported black and white screen. The Game Boy console has been extremely commercially successful and has sold more than 118 million units (including its successors Game Boy Pocket and Color). Its unit price on US market was $ 90. More information about the Game Boy console can be found here.
