With each maze you clear, the goblins become faster and more difficult to avoid. In the corners of the mazes are power pills. If Pac-em eats one, the Gobl-ems will turn blue for a few seconds, at which time you can eat them! Be careful, though, because once the goblins flash back to normal they'll be after her again! After certain levels, an intermission screen will be shown which tells the story about Pac-em and his encounters with the Gobl-ems. CHAMP Mode Enhancements ----------------------- Playing Pac-em in CHAMP Mode is similar to Classic mode, with these additions: Light switches -------------- In the maze you'll see anywhere from 1 to 4 light switches. If a ghost moves over a light switch, the maze will turn 'off' and become invisible! To turn the maze back 'on', move Pac-em over all light switches that are 'off'. Transporters ------------ Scattered throughout the maze will be 2 to 4 transporters that Pac-em can use to avoid the Gobl-ems. When there's more than 2 transporters, Pac-em is moved to the 'safest' transporter. Once a transporter is used, you must wait 5 seconds to use the transporter again. Speed Patches ------------- Speed patches are located in some tunnels and allow Pac-em to move twice as fast. Pac-em only moves twice as fast when moving in the direction of the patch. Patches change direction during the course of the level. Dopey Gobl-em ------------- After Level 2 Pac-em will be introduced to Dopey. He's the famous 'fifth' Goblem who's not as bright as he looks. He may be slow and not too aggressive, and he may even stop sometimes to get his bearings, but he always mananges to get it the way somehow. Pac-em can go through Dopey unharmed if Dopey is stopped. Super Gobl-em ------------- Starting on Leve 6 Pac-em is introduced to his match - SUPER Gobl-em! Unlike Dopey, Super is fast, aggressive and very smart. More Prizes ----------- CHAMP Mode also offers more prizes for Pac-em to eat. Burgers, fries, pizzas, hotdogs - even ice cream! Game Notes ---------- During the game, you can press any of the following keys: * F1 - Brings up the help screen. * F5 - Brings up the Controller options. * F6 - Brings up the Sound options. * F9 - Toggles the sound on and off. * F10 - Resets the game. * F12 - Pauses the game.
